Maybe It's Just Me

...or in this case Tim.

We recently had a discussion about "lol" as seen on blogs, facebook, in chat rooms, etc. Here is his take:

Tim: LOL? Really? Is that an lol? I mean maybe it's a COL -chuckle out loud but an lol? I just don't get how often people use that. It takes a lot to make me laugh out loud. (I didn't bother mentioning ROFLOL's because I knew that would only fan the flame ;-)) I think most of the lol's should really be labeled as what they are: a "WAAH."

Me: A waah?

Tim: Yeah, a Weak Attempt At Humor. waah.

That made both of us lol.

I did give a little giggle (out loud) when I read the definition of 'waah'! I am not hip at all, so unfortunately, I didn't get the ROFLOL part. wink.

ROFLOL is rolling on floor laughing out loud.

But just so you know, the "pizza lady" is EXTREMELY hip in our crew's book. =)

So I was just chatting with Allie and used a lol and immediately stopped. I felt GUILTY for using it!! So tell your husband thanks for being all honest and accurate and ruining lol for me!!

Jeepers, this is ROFLOL. I just had this conversation today with a girl from Texas. I was going to talk to you and Tim about it. As a continuing saga of culture shock, it sure is a big part I miss. Up in the Mountains we LOL, ROFLOL, and giggle every single day over something! "Make a Joyful Noise" !!
Laughter is the best medicine. Loosen up. You can laugh at me!

No, not personally. But I did force my Mamabel into it a few times for entertainment's sake. Poor sweet soul.
